CLIF BAR adds Peppermint Stick to Seasonal Energy Bar Flavors
CLIF BAR has added a new Peppermint Stick flavor to its seasonal energy bar lineup, which also includes Spiced Pumpkin Pie, and Iced Gingerbread. While I like the new Peppermint Stick flavor, I prefer the Spiced Pumpkin Pie, Iced Gingerbread, or the Cranberry Orange Nut Brea flavors.
CLIF BAR is donating 1% of the net sales of these seasonal flavors to the Winter Wildlands Alliance, an non-profit organization that works on behalf of skiers, snowboarders, winter hikers, and other outdoor adventurers to address national issues that impact our winter wildlands.
The CLIF BAR Seasonal Flavors will be available through December, or until supplies run out.
CLIF has also introduced a new Citrus flavor of CLIF SHOT BLOKS. I like the light Citrus flavor. CLIF SHOT BLOKS come in a convenient sleeve containing 6 easy-to-chew BLOKS, each containing 33 calories and 8 g of carbohydrates. There are 7 other flavors of SHOT BLOKS, including Margarita flavor. Three of the flavors contain caffeine.
I used several CLIP SHOT Energy Gels to get me through my last marathon and ended up setting a new PR by over 4 minutes. They are tasty, easy to digest, and several come with various amounts of caffeine, for an extra boost.
CLIF reformulated their gels last year to give them a thinner consistency, which gives them a big advantage over GU’s gels, in my mind. The last thing you want to do when you are running a marathon is to have to choke down a thick energy gel.
Disclaimer: I received some samples of Seasonal Flavor CLIF BARS and Citrus CLIF SHOT BLOKS for evaluation.
What’s your favorite CLIF BAR Seasonal Flavor? Tell me in the comments.
