It’s the Calories, Stupid!
Recently, Mark Haub, a nutrition professor at Kansas State went on a junk food diet that included Twinkies, Doritos, and Oreos. He supplemented his junk food intake with a multi-vitamin and one protein shake a day. He limited his intake to 1,800 calories and lost 27 pounds in two months.
While he doesn’t recommend that people go on a junk food diet, he was trying to make the point that if you limit your calorie intake, you will lose weight, no matter what you eat.
There are a lot of different diets out there. The ones that work the best are the ones that contain tasty, satisfying foods that provide you with the right combination of nutrients to stay healthy.
What sort of diet has worked well for you? Tell me in the comments.
